How long have you been in business?
We are celebrating our 30th anniversary.
What is your primary product or service?
Educational programs, both on and off the water, grounded in the maritime history of Boston Harbor and Hull's long established coastal lifesaving tradition.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Our crew are a mix of history lovers, experiential educators, open water rowing enthusiasts, and museum professionals.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The Hull Lifesaving Museum is a diverse crew of individuals committed to changing lives, and sometimes saving them, by preserving and teaching maritime skills and lifesaving heritage.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We operate a museum at the historic Point Allerton Lifesaving Station and on the water programming from the Windmill Point Boathouse, both in Hull. We also operate the Maritime Apprentice Program at the Seaport Boatshop in South Boston, with on the water programing nearby.

From Boston:
Take Southeast Expressway South to Route 3 South. Follow Rte. 3 South to Exit 14 for Route 228 (Rockland/Nantasket). Take a left off the exit ramp and follow Rte. 228 into Hull where it becomes Nantasket Avenue. Follow Nantasket Avenue(ocean on your right) for approximately 5 miles, about a seven-minute drive through t own . After crossing a narrow isthmus, bear right at the distinctly modern Wastewater Treatment Facility. The Museum, a green clap board building with cream trim and a deep red shingle roof directly facing Boston Light, will be the first building on your left.
Approximate travel time from Boston: 1 hour and 10 minutes.
From the South:
Take Route 3 North to Exit 14 for Route 228 (Rockland/Nantasket). Take a right off the e xit ramp and follow Rte. 228 into Hull where it becomes Nantasket Avenue.
